Check what your file really contains

Check the file's actual format, size, and available page or media details to find a suitable tool. A filename alone may not tell you what is inside.

Download Help

Desktop: Files download to your Downloads folder. Look for a recent file with the converter name.
iPhone/iPad: Use the share sheet to save to Photos or Files. If it downloads, find it in Files > Downloads.
Android: Use the share sheet to save to Photos/Gallery or check your Downloads folder.

Tool troubleshooting

The type is not recognized: Use Check My File. It compares the contents with the filename instead of trusting the extension.
A PDF asks for a password: Use Unlock PDF only when you know the password and have permission to open the document.
No text is found: The PDF may contain scanned page images. OCR PDF extracts a TXT file; PDF to Word can create a DOCX from scanned pages.
The tool did not load: Check your connection and use the retry action in the error message.
The browser runs out of memory: Close unused tabs, try fewer pages, or split a large PDF before continuing. A more powerful device may handle a larger file.
The result looks different: Read the tool's “What this tool will do” notice. Some formats remove transparency, animation, selectable text, links, or document structure.

Still stuck? Use Copy safe diagnostic in the error message and include it with the tool name. The diagnostic excludes the filename and file contents.
